Acting Haleyville City Clerk, Debra Hood was notified that two school board ballots were found in one of the general election boxes Tuesday night. Apparently, the ballots were mistakenly inserted into the wrong box during Tuesday's election. After conferring with the Alabama Attorney General's office and both candidates, it was decided to let the election results stand as certified on Wednesday by the Haleyville City Council. Thus,  the winner of the Haleyville Board of Education place number 2 is Boo Haughton, by 2 votes.
